The winners of the race gave us a wonderful European sample...
The Spaniard Camilo RAUL SANTIAGO (1:16’54’’), the Frenchman Freddy GUIMARD (1:17’36’’) and the Polishman Henryk SZOST (1:17’44’’) were up on the podium together after having finished stacked up like "handkerchiefs in a pocket" with less than a minute between them.
As for the women's competition, Corinne HERBRETEAU finished first in 1:32’58’’ in front of Lara BALLESTRA (1:42’11’’) and Beatrice CRIVELLO (1:50’20’’).
