On May 27th of this year, about 900 fire brigade coming from 30 different departments will dash in the conquest of the Millau Viaduct!
Faithful to the race since 2014, they run under the colors of “The Work of the Pupils of France” (ODP in French).
The ODP aims at insuring the material and moral protection of the orphans and the families of the fire brigade who died in combat duty or not.
Many social actions are organized:
- Material and moral assistance;
- Throughout their study, the Work helps pupils to study calmly and to enjoy life: school allowances, Outdo holidays, organization of stays and visits…
For any registration of the fire brigade, 4 euros are put back to the association, which is 2 euros from them and 2 euros by the race.
Also, by registrating, each participant can make a donation at « Le Jardin du Chayran ». Created in 2002, the association carries a construction site of insertion by the biological market gardening. Its 35 employees produce more than 50 tons of vegetables a year on the banks of the Tarn. Le Jardin du Chayran supplies every week varied baskets, of quality and seasonal, to more than 130 members united and worried about the environmental protection. The collected sum will be doubled by The Eiffage Company of the Viaduct of Millau.
Bravery, dedication, mutual aid and solidarity will thus be key words for this edition 2018.
